Church Women United, Inc. (as of June 29, 2021)
GUIDANCE ON IN-PERSON GATHERINGS DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
Church Women United, Inc. GUIDANCE ON IN-PERSON GATHERINGS DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC No in-person meetings or gatherings will occur in the name of or on the behalf of Church Women United, Inc effective now through December 31, 2021. Further, all national meetings, regional meetings, unit meetings, and social gatherings will continue virtually. Church Women United, Inc will resume all in-person gatherings January 1, 2022.
Our resilience and resolve kept us rooted and focused on God’s plan. I honestly believe God’s desire was to heal our broken land. The pandemic has dramatically changed how we live and work. Which leads me to share how critical it is for us to embrace not only the new societal normal, but our new way forward to protect our sisterhood and organization. “To live ‘the life of God’ is a different approach than living as a broken and contrite person. It is living with an understanding of Jesus’ role as the Savior who came to reveal the truth about knowing an all-knowing God. Christ came that we might invite others into relationships that enable us to deepen our understanding of God’s true being. God is love and to live in God is to invite others to His table.” – Charlotte W. Myers 9 The Three-Year Strategic Plan is our way forward. The plan allows us to REIMAGINE our organization. We solicit your continued prayers and support. Please stay tuned for more details regarding the Strategic Plan. Thank you for all you are doing today, tomorrow and in the future for your local community. We have individually and collectively weathered this storm together and emerge stronger than ever. These are moments where the strength of our faith shines the brightest.
Grace and Peace,
Mira J. Washington, National President
