Area meetings are held every fall to provide for local Church Women United Units to participate in Area wide events for the purpose of training CWU leadership, sharing information, inspiration, and providing opportunities to experience community as an ecumenical group of Christian women. The Coordinator of Ecumenical Development, in consultation with the Executive Board and the Area Chairs, shall be responsible for scheduling and planning these area wide events.
